Fibroid Expert Dr. John Lipman Wins Atlanta’s Healthcare Hero Award
Atlanta, GA – Dr. John Lipman, medical director of the Atlanta Interventional Institute was recently awarded the Healthcare Hero Award in the physician category during a ceremony at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. The awards are handed out annually by the Atlanta Business Chronicle to physicians who’ve made an impact on the healthcare industry in Metro Atlanta. Dr. Lipman was selected because of his dedication to treating women suffering from uterine fibroids and his use of the groundbreaking non surgical procedure, UFE, Uterine Fibroid Embolization. “I was surprised and stunned after hearing my name called as the winner of the award. It’s truly an honor being nominated for such a prestigious award. I want to thank TV and radio personality Monica Pearson for nominating me,” said Dr. Lipman.
Dr. Lipman is the leader in fibroid care, having performed over 5,000 UFE procedures for nearly two decades. “Many women are suffering in silence and it’s important for women to know that they don’t have to suffer. Women can have their fibroids treated non-surgically,” said Dr. Lipman. “With UFE, women can keep their uterus. They don't have to worry about the problems associated with having a hysterectomy.”
